JOB MISSION:
As the Senior HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing on-site HR support to our associates both across the office and manufacturing teams. You will proactively manage a team of 2 to ensure offering advice and support for all HR related topics. The HR Team is responsible for onboarding all new starters, conducting exit interviews for leavers, maintaining compliance with right-to-work checks, and ensuring our HR system (Workday) is accurately kept up to date. You must have great awareness of employment laws and maintain policies and procedures. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, the role will manage the people agenda, act as a change agent, and oversee all aspects of the HR and Training function on the Flimby Site.
Based within our Flimby office, we offer a flexible approach to working hours, including a 4-day workweek from Monday to Thursday to promote a healthy work-life balance.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Work in partnership with Global HR Value Chain and Flimby Site Leadership to shape, develop, and deliver HR plans and solutions aligned with business needs.
2. Collaborate with Global HR Value Chain in developing and rolling out the HR Strategic Plan.
3. Provide strategic input to support decision-making at the senior level on site.
4. Act as a change agent, supporting leaders in driving and managing organizational change.
5. Identify future capability and skills requirements and develop succession plans to bridge gaps and build talent.
6. Oversee recruitment and selection from initial requirement planning to onboarding.
7. Oversee the training function.
8. Support Global Talent Development with the ongoing People Pay Performance process, ensuring learning and development needs are identified and fostering a culture of learning.
9. Communicate clear policies and practices on employment matters.
10. Ensure consistent, fair, and accurate application of employment legislation.
11. Provide coaching and advice on employee relations issues to associates and managers.
12. Lead internal site communications, including chairing the Joint Consultative Committee and participating in Town Halls.
13. Role model NB values and behaviors, champion DE&I, community connection, and wellbeing activities, and act as an ambassador for HR and the Site.
14. Develop programs to enhance employee relations and engagement, such as recognition and community activities.
15. Lead and participate in HR and cross-functional projects.
16. Oversee HRIS (Workday).
17. Report on HR KPIs to the Leadership Team and Global Value Chain.
18. Lead and manage HR direct reports.
19. Coach and mentor the HR team to deliver high performance and best-in-class HR services.
20. Manage key HR issues such as absence, headcount, and employee relations.
21. Provide hands-on operational HR support.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
1. Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.
2. CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it.
3. Significant HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
4. Strong track record in stakeholder partnership and results delivery.
5. Proven experience in organizational design, development, and change management.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of UK Employment Law.
7. Proficiency in HR software; experience with Workday is an advantage.
8. Advanced MS Office skills.
9. Ability to establish credibility at a senior level and provide valued insights.
10. Exceptional influencing and collaborative skills.
