Termgrid is building a new SaaS / Fintech category in the private debt markets. The company's vertical-focused remote collaboration technology enables investment firms to significantly streamline their debt financing activities and drive strategic insights through a centralized transaction data platform.
The platform is currently used by over 1,500 financial institutions and 30,000+ finance professionals globally. The Opportunity: Our goal is to continue to attract and retain amazing talent to help us achieve our ambitious growth goals. As such, we are seeking our first People practitioner to join the business, as Head of People. You will be the one who understands end to end employee life cycles, and what it takes to attract great talent to an early stage global rocket. You will have taken the journey before in a growth stage business, and have a track record of building infrastructure that supports the journey for a diverse global tech team.
Our Head of People is a business critical role – reporting to our CEO and Co-Founder, working closely with our senior team and advisors, you will work across all functions and teams. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to shape the culture and the experience for our team as we grow.
You will understand the building blocks involved in maturing the people function. You will help leaders navigate the journey and understand the impact of the function on the business. You will get energy and satisfaction from being the architect of new initiatives, and enjoy the process of implementing new systems and tools. You love data and will use data to drive key people priorities within the business. You will be curious about the business, adept in understanding B2B SaaS business models, and capable of aligning the people strategy to the business strategy.
You are incredibly self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, a clear communicator and with a great sense of designing frictionless and intuitive employee experiences. You take great satisfaction from supporting employees through on-boarding, their development, their compensation matters and off-boarding effectively as needed. You will act as a member of the senior leadership team, and provide strategic people counsel to the leadership members as needed. You will be a cultural champion for Termgrid, helping to successfully weave our values throughout the employee experience.
What You’ll Do
📦Employee Lifecycle Management
* Own the onboarding and offboarding experience across all geographies, ensuring a seamless and thoughtful transition at every stage.
* Manage offer letters, employment agreements, background checks, and compliance documentation.
📈 Performance & Talent Development
* Design and manage the performance review process and help foster a culture of continuous feedback and growth.
* Support managers in goal-setting, career pathing, and employee development initiatives.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
* Lead compensation benchmarking and ensure our salary structures are competitive and equitable.
* Manage our equity options program, including employee education and compliance.
* Set up and manage benefits programs such as Health Insurance etc.
* Partner with finance and legal on policy development, including leave, benefits, and remote work standards.
👥 Hiring & Talent Acquisition
* Manage relationships with external recruiters, and support the buildout of an internal referral network.
* Partner with team leads to define hiring needs and shape effective hiring practices that align with Termgrid’s culture.
🌍 Global People Operations
* Oversee payroll and employment compliance in the US, UK, and India.
* Stay informed on employment law and best practices across these regions to ensure Termgrid remains compliant and employee-friendly.
What We’re Looking For
* 7+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, ideally in high-growth B2B SaaS or tech environments.
* Proven experience in helping navigate a growth journey in scaling a tech business from 50-250 people
* Proven experience managing multi-country operations, with strong familiarity with employment laws and compliance in the US, UK, and India.
* A track record for implementing at pace and measuring success of HR initiatives.
* Ability to manage change and minimise complexity.
* Experience owning and evolving core HR programs such as performance management, compensation design and employee onboarding.
* Excellent project management and organizational skills.
* High empathy, discretion, and a strong sense of integrity.
* A proactive, hands-on operator who can think strategically but is very comfortable to get into the weeds. This is an individual contributor role for at least the first twelve months.
