Cranberry Vine Catering & Events, a full service catering and event company, is seeking a qualified Catering Manager.
This position is part of a team of professionals who execute a variety of catered events from small dinner parties to large galas, weddings and more. You would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our catering facility. This involves not only running the event, but also handling all the preparation before the event and after as well.
Our Catering Manager should work closely with clients to ensure their event is a success, and follow up with the client to get feedback after the event itself as well.
The Catering Manager works closely with the owner and chef to execute each job, from beginning to end, including food prep, packing, designing events, working with the vendors.
The Catering Manager will seek out new venues and opportunities through site visits, attendance at industry and social events and sourcing new business.
The Catering Manager is responsible staffing each of the events. The catering manager should know the skills of his or her staff and use that to help with selecting the event staff for each event.
The Manager will assist in menu development, inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, personnel management to include hiring, firing, counseling, coaching and development.
Qualifications:
1. Catering experience, Save Serve Certified, Tips Certified, Allergen Certification
2. Strong Written and Verbal Skills
3. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to details
4. Knowledge of Excel
5. Desire and willingness to work in growing business environment
6. Must be team oriented and able to adapt as expectations and responsibilities evolve.
7. Strong phone and social etiquette skills
8. Social Media Experience
9. Must be able to lift 40 lbs
10. Night and weekend availability is a must
11. Demonstrated customer service experience
