Role Description
This is a contract, on-site Frontend Developer role based in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be responsible for developing functional and visually appealing user interfaces using modern frameworks. Day-to-day tasks include implementing responsive designs, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, and troubleshooting UI/UX issues. You will contribute to creating a user-centric experience while ensuring adherence to best coding practices and design principles.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with experience in frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
* Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, creating responsive web designs, and cross-browser compatibility
* Experience working with APIs, JSON, and integrating frontend applications with backend services
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
* BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
* Nice to have: Experience with TypeScript, testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha), and cloud-based deployment processes
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site environment
