About the role
We are seeking an experienced, practical, reliable Handyman Maintenance Worker to join our team. This is a subcontractor full-time position where you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and handyperson services to our residential and commercial clients. The work is varied – from fixing door handles and fences to patching walls and treating mould – so we need someone who’s hands-on, uses common sense, and can work without needing to be micromanaged.
What you\'ll be doing
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and implement appropriate solutions
* Communicating with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work completed
* General repairs (e.g. fixing door handles, reattaching anchors, repairing fences)
* Patching up minor wall damage
* Small carpentry jobs
* Replacing fixtures and fittings
* Spot checks and basic maintenance across properties
What we\'re looking for
* Several years of experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
* Strong practical skills and knowledge across a range of trades, including carpentry and general handyman work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
* Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
* A valid driver\'s licence and reliable transportation
* Own tools
