We’re working with a highly respected regional contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major refurbishment programme in the Plymouth area. The role offers long-term, local work across a variety of sectors, including MoD, commercial, heritage, and public buildings, with project values of up to £2m.
The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll take full ownership of refurbishment projects from inception to completion, often in live/occupied environments. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day site operations, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring safe and efficient delivery to time, quality, and budget.
* Manage and coordinate all site-based staff and subcontractors
* Lead daily site briefings and toolbox talks
* Monitor programme and drive timely delivery of works
* Maintain excellent health & safety standards on site
* Liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders
* Ensure quality control and site documentation is up to date
Requirements
* Proven experience managing refurbishment projects up to £2m
* Background working in MoD, commercial, or heritage sectors
* Strong client liaison and organisational skills
* Ability to work in live/occupied building environments
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates
* IT literate and comfortable using site management systems
* Willingness to undergo DBS/security clearance
