Job Description:
As a branded and own brand business, we pride ourselves on having the best ranges for the outdoors, comprising the latest and most exclusive products within our Outdoor fascia’s. Our design and development team works closely with Buying, Merchandising, and suppliers, helping develop world-class exclusive outdoor clothing and accessories.
Role Overview:
The Junior Product Developer is responsible for working on the development of our own brand outdoor products. They will support the development team in the administration and development of clothing and accessories within outdoor. Ensuring products are fit for purpose and within margin, helping to equip our consumers for outdoor life.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide support for the Senior Product Developer to ensure that factories follow company supplier guidelines and that products are developed according to the critical path.
* Assist the Senior Developer in running the wearer trial programme, collating feedback from testers.
* Work on the development of accessories, including producing BOMs and sample comments.
* Collaborate with developers to comment on samples across various brands, including outdoor activities.
* Inspect and measure garments under the guidance of the senior developer, approving each stage of development.
* Serve as a key contact for PLM input within the development team, ensuring PLM is updated each season.
* Contribute to new ranges and brands, setting up BOMs and size charts.
* Document comments during meetings, including design sign-offs and fit sessions, ensuring notes are accurate for technical packs and communication with suppliers and factories.
* Manage and approve fabric testing and care label development with suppliers.
* Inspect and report on carry-over products to ensure consistency and quality.
* Approve AQLs and gold seal products.
* Coordinate with buying, web, and marketing teams on sample requirements and photo shoot samples.
* Assist with seasonal product launches, including dressing the own brand area and supporting the team during launches.
* Maintain admin responsibilities, including collating critical paths from suppliers.
* Conduct warehouse and store visits for bulk and retail reviews, including competitor analysis.
