You will be responsible for…
· Working in partnership with the Manager and Proprietor to ensure the preparation of a balanced and healthy diet for the children, adhering to the Policies and procedure of Montagu Square Day Nursery and in compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health- Food Safety and within the guidelines of OFSTED and the national standards. (Training and help will be provided for this.)
· Following well balanced weekly menus taking into account of any allergies, dietary or cultural preferences of the children, as told to you by the Manager. Your ideas and input will be included in this.
· The preparation and cooking of all foods in accordance to the rotating menu's.
· Preventing cross contamination of food within the kitchen area. (Training will be provided.)
· Ensuring that all foods are ready at the specified time and served correctly. (Training will be provided.)
We will ensure you feel supported and comfortable at all times, working alongside our current team who has plenty of experience and the necessary qualifications to support you.
The candidate should already have or be prepared to do their Level 2 Food Hygiene training.
