Having started as a family business over 20 years ago, it now employs over 1,000 people and has over 300 sites across the UK, from Scotland to Southampton. Location: London HO- Vauxhall (Hybrid – Work-from-home Fridays!)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (Negotiable based on experience) + Excellent Benefits
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Act as the main point of contact for all HR matters, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees.
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and absence.
* Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are legally compliant and aligned with best practice.
* Partner with senior leaders to support workforce planning, organisational development, and people strategy.
* Manage and develop the HR team, providing coaching, support, and direction.
* Oversee HR systems and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives.
* Support learning and development activities and career progression pathways.
* Drive HR projects that support company culture, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
* Analyse HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and report on people trends.
* Champion company values and promote a fair, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role at Manager or Senior HR level
* Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Confident advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
* Experience managing employee relations cases independently
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism
* CIPD Level 5 (or above) qualified or working towards (desirable)
* Fluent Spanish or Portuguese is a plus (but not essential)
