We are looking for a proactive HR Administrator to join our UK People & Culture Team on a Part Time, Fixed Term basis.
About the role
As a People & Culture Assistant, you are a core part of the UK People & Culture team. You know our systems well and can put your finger on information when needed. You are responsive and can answer our people’s questions in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. You’ll need to be engaged and proactive when it comes to our systems and processes with a focus on continuous improvement. You will be energised by problem solving and passionate about developing long term solutions. This is a very busy role so we need somebody who thrives in a super busy environment and can get their head down to work through workload quickly. Ideally, you will have some previous experience of offering advice on topics such as absence, flexible working requests, and less complex performance matters. You will thrive off getting involved in the work around you and will enjoy learning and developing yourself at any opportunity. You will be the point of contact for our people queries and our people processes such as;
* Maintaining all the queries that come into our HR inboxes and ticketing systems, requiring multi-tasking and working at pace across multiple communication channels.
* Becoming a super user of all our systems, with self-learning and on-the-job knowledge development.
* Providing data to colleagues, people leaders, and the wider People & Culture team as needed.
* Overseeing the UK’s absence processes, including maternity, paternity, and other leave types, managing these processes and communicating proactively with People Managers and colleagues.
* Providing 1st line HR support to all UK-based colleagues for less complex queries.
* Being a visible and approachable team member, engaging with colleagues across the organization.
* Supporting process improvement initiatives and working on key projects.
About You
Our team values collaboration, and we work together towards common goals. We support the employee lifecycle, data management, and talent growth. We need someone with great intuition, who thrives in a busy environment and has excellent relationship-building skills. You should be a natural problem solver, able to identify issues and proactively resolve them.
We encourage you to be brave and challenge the status quo, while remaining empathetic and caring, as kindness is central to our culture.
* You’ll be adaptable and able to pivot quickly as the business evolves.
* Previous experience in a busy HR role, ideally within retail, tech, or a fast-growing organization, managing stakeholders effectively.
* Knowledge of HR processes, systems, and business systems.
* Strong attention to detail, good time management, and ability to work independently.
* Ability to build positive and effective relationships.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires quick communication and adaptability.
* Willingness to travel to UK offices in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh as needed.
This is a Part Time (4 days per week), Fixed Term contract for an initial 3 months with the possibility of extension.
