We are offering an exciting opportunity to lead all HR operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment during a pivotal period of growth. As our HR Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our HR function in what is a standalone role.
Working closely with the KDR management team, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements. While the role requires a strong focus on high-level planning and strategic direction, it also demands a hands-on approach. Your regular presence on the factory floor, supporting managers in resolving operational people challenges, will be essential to delivering real, practical impact and fostering strong working relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement the company's overall HR strategy which aligns HR Practices with overall business goals.
· Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with UK Employment Law, are maintained and that they are well defined and understood by employees.
· Promote a positive workplace culture by managing employee relations, dispute resolutions, resolve grievances and encouraging open communication.
· Investigate misconduct and conduct disciplinary meetings ensuring fairness and consistency.
· Create an environment that supports employee productivity and growth, guiding employees regarding their role and responsibilities.
· Performance Management to include setting performance standards, conducting and support line managers in annual appraisals and providing feedback to employees.
· Identify training needs and coordinate development programmes alongside the Compliance department to support employee growth and retention.
· Employment Lifecycle Management to include recruitment, advertising, liaising with agencies, conducting of interviews, hiring, employee retention and offboarding.
· Manage the induction process for new employees to include all associated documentation.
· Oversee payroll processes, manage employee benefits schemes and ensure a reward strategy is implemented.
· Analyse HR data on key people metrics such as turnover, absence management and training, produce reports for Directors and identify trends to support decision making.
· Maintain all HR related documentation including personnel files and the HR management system.
· Support mental and physical wellbeing, working with managers to create a supportive environment.
· Create and monitor a safe working environment in partnership with the H&S Department.
Key Skills and Experience
· CIPD level 5 preferable (or equivalent).
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, including leadership experience and preferably within a manufacturing environment.
· Experience in a standalone HR role or evidence of working autonomously preferred.
· In-depth knowledge of UK Employment Law and legislation.
· Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for motivating individuals.
· Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines as required.
· Strong interviewing and selection skills.
· Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Office.
· Able to present information effectively in various settings i.e meetings, presentations, reporting.
· Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the business.
Benefits of this Position
· Starting Salary of between £45,000- £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
· Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

· 33 days annual leave per annum (inclusive of BH)
