Sales Executive – Convenience
Do you know how to turn “I’ll think about it” into “Put me down for 25 cases”? Some salespeople visit stores. Others win them. Which are you? We’re building a brand‑new field sales team and need commercially sharp, target‑driven Business Development Executives who can win volume transfer deals in the convenience channel.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sales Executive you’ll represent a major wholesaler and sell transfer orders into convenience stores around the Glasgow, Motherwell, Edinburgh, Dunfermline area. Your mission is to:
* Quickly establish strong working relationships – you’ll visit stores weekly
* Influence store decision‑makers
* Drive product distribution by selling in weekly deals on offer
* Land volume transfer orders
This is performance‑led. You’ll have clear targets, clear expectations and full ownership of your territory. If you treat your patch like your own business you’ll thrive here.
Who Will Succeed in This Business Development Role
We’re specifically looking for salespeople who have experience in one or more of the following:
* Worked directly for a wholesaler selling into convenience retailers such as Bestway, Booker, Parfetts, Dhamecha, Fillshill, Unitas
* Strong van sales experience in the independent retail sector
* Experience selling into convenience stores such as Spar, Londis, Costcutter
* Food service sales
You’ll also bring:
* Ability to build rapport quickly
* A proven track record of hitting or beating targets
* The resilience to handle objections and still close
* A competitive mindset – you play to win
* A full UK driving licence for at least 12 months

This is a 3‑month fixed‑term contract. It is a brand‑new launch and we’re building the team quickly. Perform well, deliver results and prove the model works – there is strong potential for extension. If you’re confident in your ability, that shouldn’t worry you. It should motivate you.
