Due to project growth we are seeking individuals with Aviation and Fit Out experience to join our expanding team
Responsibilities
Management
* Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
* Monitor project strategies in order to achieve the company’s sustainability objectives.
* Developing and monitoring strategies to deliver a quality build in accordance with the requirements of the project.
* Develop, nurture and manage supply chain relationships.
* Ensure the principles of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme are adopted and managing community relations.
* Developing project strategy and ensuring effective communication and implementation to deliver the project on time. Challenging and interrogative reporting on progress and instigating corrective actions, as required
* Reviewing performance against targets and identifying and managing potential risks and opportunities.
* Ensuring consistent implementation of standard procedures.
* Managing project handover and ensuring defect/ snag free completion.
* Ensuring robust strategy for the closure of defects during defects period and obtaining certification of Making Good Defects within targets set.
* Sharing best practice and driving continuous improvements
* Manage, plan and co-ordinate the site operations in relation to labour, materials, transport, plant and contracted services to meet the programme of work and contracted/statutory obligations.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)
* Lead, promote and support a positive health and safety culture.
* Ensure projects are executed in compliance with current legislation, Fado SHEQ policies, best practice and operating procedures.
* Ensure cascade of SHEQ statistics, initiatives throughout site teams
* Ensure that construction phase H&S plan, Environmental Management plan and Quality plan are developed prior to works commencing and periodically reviewed. Attend monthly SHEQ meetings with active involvement in discussions and influencing Company Direction.
* Establish project specific communications to the protect the site and customers.
* Monitor and inspect development regularly to ensure that all quality control procedures are being adhered to and the highest standards of build are being achieved.
Programme
* Develop and produce build programmes identifying work sequence, critical path, key milestones to plan and contract completion dates.
* Identify in advance an information release schedule as require meeting the build programmes and circulating as necessary.
* Monitor and review progress against programme and site progress / supplier performance.
* Scrutinise design/procurement schedules, look ahead programmes, contractual notices and contract reviews to ensure they are in line with construction programme.
* Identify key risks to the programme and mitigative measures to control the same.
* Monitor sub-contractor performance and take action to address any issues.
Commercial Contractual
* Work with Project Manager to develop monthly forecast to ensure site and build costs are being controlled within budget.
* Consult with the Project Manager to identify early commercial and contractual risks or opportunities that could be either detrimental or beneficial to project performance.
* Review the appointment of sub-contractors ensuring clear scope and that pre-start, meetings are undertaken.
* Monitor performance of sub-contractors throughout project ensuring regular reviews are undertaken.
Qualifications
* Good communication skills (verbal and written) and able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels.
* Self-motivated. Capable of working on own initiative and able to motivate a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills.
* Strong IT and numerical skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Self-starter able to work within a team setting.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
* An excellent professional demeanor.
* Passionate about construction and building, with good career continuity.
* Flexible approach to working hours and various different locations throughout the UK and ROI if required.
