Quality Manager

As a Quality Manager, you will manage project quality arrangements for a portfolio of projects, including large complex EPC contracts. You will lead a team of quality professionals, ensuring all activities comply with the integrated management system, Quality Policy, and Strategy. The role involves supporting the development of the site’s integrated management system to support major project delivery. The Quality Manager must maintain independence to challenge management and act as the business’s conscience.
You will report to Russell Wallace and be based at the Springfields site in Preston.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management Systems: Ensure effective quality management systems meet stakeholder requirements and enable delivery to customer specifications. Communicate and implement the Quality Programme across your area, both on-site and off-site. Promote a quality culture through stakeholder engagement, communications, and site visits.
2. Assurance: Confirm products and outputs meet requirements through certification and verification, rejecting nonconforming materials or services.
3. Investigation and Improvement: Develop and report KPIs to measure delivery quality, identify deviations, and support continuous improvement programs.
4. Records Management: Manage key business and project records in compliance with legal and contractual standards.
5. Supplier Management: Communicate quality requirements to suppliers and ensure they meet specifications, including cascading requirements within the supply chain.
6. Capability: Maintain and develop professional competence through ongoing training and development.
Minimum qualifications include a degree in a relevant discipline such as Quality, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience. Candidates should have good knowledge of the nuclear industry, quality management procedures, and relevant regulations. Skills should include excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
