We are seeking a dynamic, supportive, and inspiring teacher with experience in curriculum planning and delivery of Design Technology and/or Food Technology across Key Stages 3–4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not necessary). Both subjects have seen a rapid increase in uptake over the past two years with significantly improved outcomes. The post supports the introduction of ‘Construction’ provision for September 2026, which already has an uptake of over 10 % of the year group (PAN of 300). We seek a passionate Design Technology teacher to inspire and motivate students, contribute to wider curriculum opportunity, and support learning.
The successful candidate will join an established and cohesive team, with strong links across other schools in the Mercian Academy Trust, and enjoy excellent development opportunities.

* Excellent subject knowledge.
* Ability to understand and use assessment data to monitor and intervene as appropriate with students.

Key Responsibilities
* Teach Design Technology/Food Technology across Key Stages 3–5.
* Add value to every learner in each teaching group, benchmarked against national criteria and data.
* Deliver, plan, and prepare lessons in accordance with the planned curriculum.
* Contribute to curriculum design within Design Technology/Food Technology.
* Work as part of an exceptional team that ensures creative and innovative learning and teaching in every lesson.
* Act as a Form Tutor.
