Base Pay Range
Location – Salford
A Civil Service pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%.
This is an exciting time to join the Home Office Reward Team, supporting the Department’s key objectives by delivering innovative, strategic reward solutions.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
* Lead accountability for specific projects and support policy development across the team.
* Design and deliver pay and reward service initiatives for delegated grades and Senior Civil Servants (SCS).
* Manage annual pay awards, grading, pensions, and employee benefits programmes.
* Produce and model pay data, critically review information, and provide constructive feedback.
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including Trades Unions.
* Deliver quality outcomes that meet customer need, business, and legal requirements, often at pace.
* Influence stakeholders where challenges arise, ensuring alignment with overall reward strategy.
* Oversee written communication of reports, briefings, and complex queries, maintaining accuracy.
* Prioritise own workload, meet challenging deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Qualifications & Key Skills
* Proven experience of reward within a large, complex organisation, with a track record of improvements and delivery of reward policy and/or pensions.
* Strong understanding of public sector reward and pensions context.
* Strong analytical and data skills, including pay modelling.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for developing productive stakeholder relationships.
* Experience delivering quality outcomes at pace, meeting business and legal requirements.
* Strong written communication skills and attention to accuracy.
* Organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with detail oriented focus.
