As we continue to strengthen our operational performance, we are looking for a Quality Manager to lead quality across our EN9100 certified manufacturing site in Musselburgh.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Director, you will take full ownership of the Business Management System and lead the quality and inspection team on site. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will balance management system compliance with practical shop floor engagement, ensuring product conformity, reducing cost of poor quality and embedding a right first-time culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and continuously improve the EN9100 compliant business management system
* Ensure quality processes, procedures and documentation are controlled and audit ready
* Oversee inspection and verification activity, including support for AS9102 first article Inspection
* Lead root cause investigations into nonconformances, scrap and rework, driving effective corrective and preventive action
* Own the internal audit program and host external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings
* Partner with customers and suppliers on quality matters, driving performance improvement
* Provide visible operational quality leadership aligned to site KPIs.
* Develop and coach the quality and inspection team, strengthening capability and accountability
About You
* Experience in a Quality leadership role within aerospace or high precision manufacturing
* Strong working knowledge of EN9100 and audit requirements
* Experience managing CAPA processes and First Article Inspection
* Structured, pragmatic and detail focused
* Confident communicator able to influence both shop floor and leadership teams
* Comfortable operating in a visible, hands-on manufacturing environment
