Yard Labourer Jobs in Andover at Stannah– Join Our Team!
We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Labourer to join Stannah, based at Stephenson Close, Andover.
This role will involve maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the yard and internal areas, managing day-to-day recycling waste, and supporting yard operations, including loading and unloading waste vehicles and carrying out additional yard duties as required.
As a Yard Labourer, you will work 22 hours a week, 08:00 - 12:30 Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 12:00 Friday on a permanent contract.

To be successful as a Yard Labourer, it is essential that you have previous experience working in a yard or industrial environment and a good understanding of health and safety procedures. Forklift counterbalance experience is essential, and experience working with recycling equipment would be desirable.
Yard Labourer Responsibilities:
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of yard, storage areas, and workspaces
* Manage recycling waste and dispose of packaging, scrap metal, and wood
* Load and unload waste vehicles as required
* Operate equipment including forklift (counterbalance), sweeping machines, compactors, and hoovers
* Carry out general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and seasonal snow/ice clearing
* Support deliveries and assist with logistics when required
* Work in accordance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and safe systems of work

Qualifications
Yard Labourer Requirements:
* Valid counterbalance forklift licence
* Previous yard, warehouse, or labouring experience (advantageous)
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* High standards of cleanliness, reliability, and flexibility
