HR Administrator (Full:time maternity cover)

Salary: A GBP 25,000 : A GBP 30,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Longcliffe is delighted to be seeking an HR Administrator to join our newly established HR department on a maternity cover contract.
With operations centred around our two quarries, Brassington Moor and Ryder Point, Longcliffe produces over 100 products serving a diverse range of vital industries : from animal feeds and agricultural fertilisers to glass and plasterboard manufacturing. In addition, we operate two wind turbines that contribute renewable energy to the national grid.

In this role, youll play a key part in supporting a wide spectrum of HR activities, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, events, and internal communications.
Reporting directly to our HR Manager, youll help shape a first:class HR service that supports both our people and our business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
To fulfil the requirements of this exciting new role, you will be able to:
Recruitment and Onboarding Support
* Assist with the end:to:end recruitment processes, including drafting compelling job advertisements, managing applications, and coordinating interview schedules.
* Arrange and track pre:employment checks, such as references, background screening, and DBS verification.
* Prepare and issue offer letters and employment contracts.
* Support all aspects of onboarding, ensuring new starters experience a smooth, welcoming, and well:organised introduction to the company.
Employee Records Management
* Maintain accurate, up:to:date employee records, covering personal details, contracts, and training documentation.
* Ensure full compliance with data protection legislation while safeguarding the confidentiality of employee information.
* Administer employee benefits.
HR Policy and Procedure Implementation
* Assist in rolling out and communicating HR policies and procedures across the business.
* Provide clear guidance to employees on HR:related topics, including leave entitlements, flexible working, and disciplinary processes.
* Support managers in consistently interpreting and applying HR policies in line with best practice and fairness.
HR Administration and Reporting
* Prepare a range of HR documentation, such as employment contracts, contract variations, and termination letters.
* Support performance management activities, including probationary reviews and annual appraisals.
* Produce HR reports, metrics, and analytics to support data:driven decision:making by management.
General HR Support
* Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of training and development programmes.
* Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and coordinate internal events.
* Manage the distribution of workwear throughout the business.
* Schedule occupational health surveillance for staff.
* Support managers in our work experience programme.
