Job Description:
We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly-motivated Teacher of Food Technology and Textiles from Term 2, (3rd November 2025)
The role is part time (0.50 FTE) and is a fixed term maternity cover role for one year or on the return of the postholder if earlier.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and committed teacher who understands the way to motivate and inspire pupils, and can share their love of their subject. This is a great opportunity for an inspiring teacher to make a real impact on students’ learning and creativity. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, advocating a passion for food technology and textiles, and supporting students in developing practical and theoretical skills.
There will be teaching within the both subjects at KS4, and Textiles is teaching would also be required at KS5
The successful candidate will:
* Be an outstanding teacher (or an ECT aspiring to be outstanding).
* Be able to consistently teach inspirational lessons and have good subject knowledge.
* Be organised and have excellent communication skills.
* Be innovative, creative and enthusiastic – able to deliver results.
