Peacock Sourcing Limited are currently recruiting for Handyman to work for their well-established client based in Southwest London. In this role you will join a rapidly expanding business that offers Handyman services to the local surrounding area and with a busy year ahead our client is in desperate need of a competent senior handyman. The ideal candidate should have: * Previous experience as a Handyman using hand tools working on commercial or domestic property doing painting and decorating, repair, woodworking, DIY and or plastering. (If you have done any simple electrical work this is advantageous) * Good manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination and a positive attitude. * Good level of English both written and spoken. * Knowledge of how to source materials for a job. * Be punctual, arrive to work on time and be both reliable and honest. * The ability to manage workers (Or at least willing to try) * Be currently registered as self-employed or at least be willing to become so. * Able to ride a bicycle in London to travel to local jobs (Not essential) * The candidate should also live in London and be able to start ASAP. Working Hours Mon – Fri (35 hours per week garanteed) Pay £15 - £20 per hour (Starting pay is based on the candidate’s performance over the first few weeks) Duties As a Handyman you will be responsible for carrying out property maintenance work such as (plumbing, simple electrical, painting and decorating, repairing furniture, doors, etc) As our client also provides Handyman services to surrounding businesses and homes, the successful candidate will be required to be involved in this side of the business as well. (The client will cover any travel expenses) As a Handyman you may also be expected to steam rooms that have suspected or confirmed bedbugs.
