We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of a construction project from initial groundworks through to final build completion in Watford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing all stages of the construction process, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day site operations, from groundworks to the final handover.
* Coordinate all on-site activities and subcontractors to ensure productivity and efficiency.
* Monitor project progress and implement schedules, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
* Enforce health and safety compliance on-site, adhering to company and legal standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
* Liaise with the project team, clients, engineers, and local authorities as required.
* Manage site paperwork including RAMS, daily reports, timesheets, and material orders.
* Resolve any on-site issues or delays quickly and effectively.
* Lead regular site meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager with a strong focus on groundworks and full build projects.
* Background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments preferred.
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold card), and First Aid certification.
* Excellent knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and project management principles.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors.
* Able to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Effective communicator with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
* Full UK driving licence and own transport.
