Freelance Site Manager – Glasgow
Contract: Temporary 6 - 8 weeks
Rate: £25.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential construction site in Glasgow on behalf of a leading national house builder. This is a temporary contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities
* Ensure projects are completed on time, to budget, and in line with company quality standards
* Maintain excellent health and safety standards across the site
* Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure work is progressing efficiently
* Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
* Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential house building
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Solid knowledge of NHBC standards and current building regulations
* Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple trades on a busy site
