Purpose of the Job
To support students in maths, specifically those who are underperforming, helping them overcome barriers to learning, fully engage with lessons to become more effective learners, and to improve academic progress.
Responsibilities
* Work on a one-to-one basis with students who have missed parts of the curriculum or have specific weaknesses.
* Support small groups of students during lesson times to reinforce their normal maths lessons or extend their understanding of specific topics.
* Work within a classroom, supporting the class teacher to aid pupils’ understanding.
* Lead the intervention programme for KS3 pupils during form time.

Employment Terms
Start Date: 1 September 2026.
Hours: 33.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time + 1 week).
Salary: Scale D, Point 6 – £13.47 per hour (approx. £20 299 per year; full‑time equivalent £25 989 based on a 37‑hour week; pro‑rate).
Contract: Temporary fixed term, 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
