About the Role
We are working with a highly regarded, Legal 500 ranked law firm in North Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Employment Law Solicitor (5+ PQE) to lead and grow their Employment team.
This is a senior opportunity for an ambitious employment solicitor seeking leadership responsibility, career progression, and exposure to high-quality, complex employment law work. The role offers a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, including Employment Tribunal litigation, HR advisory, and corporate employment support.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
* Employment Tribunal litigation and advocacy
* HR advisory support to businesses and senior individuals
* Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
* Advising on restrictive covenants
* Drafting employment contracts, policies and handbooks
* Advising on TUPE matters
* Workplace mediation and investigations
* Delivering training and client seminars
* Business development, networking and client relationship management
* Leading and developing the Employment team
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
* Minimum 5 years' PQE in Employment Law
* Strong Employment Tribunal litigation and advocacy experience
* Excellent drafting and advisory skills
* Commercial awareness with a pragmatic, risk-based approach
* Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Proactive, client-focused and commercially minded
