About the Role
As the Site Manager, you will oversee the replacement of a 275 kV line, which has over 50 towers and is a vital part of the transmission network supporting electricity distribution in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Your primary duties will include:
* Managing daily operations and coordinating the site team
* Ensuring project completion on time, within budget, and to high standards
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders to resolve issues
* Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
* Providing regular progress reports to management
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience managing electrical infrastructure projects
* Experience with companies like SPEN and SSE is highly desirable
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
What's in It for You?
This Site Manager role offers a daily rate of £500 (outside IR35), with 45 hours per week and a 12:30 finish on Fridays. The project duration is between 3 and 18 months, providing a significant opportunity to contribute to Scotland's electrical infrastructure.

Additional Responsibilities
* Liaising with National Grid and clients
* Holding SR163 Site Management meetings
* Managing civils and M&E teams
* Overseeing excavation, tunnel systems, core drilling, and cable pulling
* Foundation work, reinstatement, fencing, drainage, piling, concrete pours, steel installation, earthing, cable installation, and panel setup
* Reading and managing drawings on site
* Ensuring timely task completion and coordinating with the commissioning team
* Material acquisition, testing, and reporting
* Attending design and hazard review meetings
* Planning and implementing works under temporary works designs
