Description
The Food Technologist will be responsible for (but not limited to):
1. Investigate complaints, find root cause and corrective actions, and ensure all responses are completed thoroughly with minimal delay
2. Complete recipes and finished product specifications meeting customer requirements and ensuring right first-time approach.
3. Administration and Maintenance of relevant technical systems e.g. Quality Management System, Supplier Approval, Raw material specifications
4. Undertake routine finished product testing and analysis of results, investigating any adverse results.
5. Compile trending information for meetings and audits to drive improvements for complaints, GMP’s, micro and other technical Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
6. Assist in implementing and monitoring quality control procedures
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
7. Food science degree or a background in a similar food safety role.
8. Excellent attention to detail.
9. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
10. Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
11. Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
12. Works well within a team and independently.
Desirable:
13. Previous experience within the food industry, in a manufacturing environment.
