Job Description
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team, we are looking to enhance our technical capabilities and are seeking an experienced Nuclear Quality Manager, to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the next phase of the nuclear industry as part of AECOM. The Quality Manager will lead the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of quality systems, policies and procedures for our active frameworks and projects, supporting work‑winning activities and standing under the Regional QA Lead and directly reporting to the Nuclear Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
* Lead the establishment and implementation of a robust QMS on our frameworks and projects.
* Develop, author, and maintain comprehensive Quality Plans for nuclear sector projects, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and applicable nuclear industry codes and specifications.
* Provide quality management input to support bids and strategic tenders, including review of customer requirements, quality deliverables, compliance obligations and risk considerations.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, nuclear project requirements and other industry standards.
* Drive a continuous improvement culture and Lean system for project productivity.
* Work closely with project directors, managers and the engineering team to embed quality throughout projects.
* Coach and mentor project directors and managers to foster a quality mindset and advance our quality culture.
* Collaborate with the digital lead to streamline the quality approach.
* Oversee compliance across delivery teams and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Guide assigned projects on quality matters and system implementation during project start‑up, including customisation of the quality management system to meet client requirements.
* Perform internal audits, ensure timely closure of findings and share best practice with stakeholders.
* Participate in meetings and reviews as required by frameworks and projects.
* Prepare quality performance insight reports and data to identify trends and improvement areas.
* Conduct root‑cause investigations and reviews as required.
* Provide quality training, awareness and communication.
* Support external and second‑party audits where required.
* Engage and collaborate with stakeholders and clients, including the UKI quality team.

Qualifications
* Engineering degree or related field, incorporating quality qualifications.
* Certified Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 or equivalent.
* Chartered Quality Professional or equivalent.
* Client‑focused leader with a drive to continuously improve.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality Plans for nuclear sector projects.
* Demonstrated experience supporting bids and strategic tenders.
