Pay: £330-£350 per day (DOE)
Red Sky Personnel is working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in the Reading area. They are seeking a Site Manager with strong experience in groundworks, utilities, and reinforced concrete structures to manage daily operations on a high-profile, technically complex project.
This is a secure and regulated site, so candidates must be eligible for clearance and willing to undergo background checks as part of the onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations covering groundworks, service diversions, and RC frame works
Manage site teams, subcontractors, and materials to ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery
Monitor progress against programme and ensure quality and health & safety standards are met
Prepare and manage site documentation including RAMS, daily site reports, and briefings
Liaise closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to communicate progress, risks, and resource needs
Ensure full compliance with site safety procedures and actively promote a positive H&S culture
Interpret technical drawings and work alongside engineers to deliver works to design requirements
Record daily activities, monitor outputs, and attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABs)
Implement logistics and delivery plans in line with client expectations
Establish and maintain a strategic plan to support programme targets
Build strong working relationships with client counterparts
Maintain commercial awareness during site delivery
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering groundworks and RC frame packages
Background working on secure or regulated sites is highly desirable
SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold card) are essential
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Based within a commutable distance to Reading
