As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing project quality arrangements for a portfolio of projects including large complex EPC contracts. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality professionals providing a quality management service whilst ensuring that all activities defined, planned, and implemented are in accordance with the integrated management system, Quality Policy, and Strategy. The role involves supporting the continued development of the site integrated management system in support of major project delivery. The Quality Manager must maintain independence to enable appropriate challenge to management and act as the business's conscience.
You will report to Russell Wallace and be located at the Springfields site in Preston.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management Systems: Providing assurance that effective quality management systems meet stakeholder requirements and enable delivery to meet customer specifications. Ensuring that the requirements of the Quality Programme are effectively communicated and implemented within their area of responsibility (for both on-site and off-site activities). Enhancing the quality culture by engaging with relevant stakeholders, delivering appropriate communication, briefs, and visits to increase understanding and importance of establishing a successful quality culture.
2. Assurance: Providing confirmation that products/outputs/deliverables meet specified requirements through certification and/or verification of inputs, processes, and outputs, and ensuring the rejection of nonconforming materials, products, or services.
3. Investigation and Improvement: Developing, implementing, and reporting Key Performance Indicators that effectively demonstrate delivery performance quality, identify deviations, and opportunities for continuous improvement, and demonstrate the success of improvement programs.
4. Records Management: Ensuring key business and project records are managed in a manner conforming with legal and contractual requirements.
5. Supplier Management: Ensuring that Westinghouse quality requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers and that suppliers deliver to specifications, including testing relevant specifications within the supply chain.
6. Capability: Achieving and maintaining demonstrable competence levels through continued professional development and training.
Qualifications and skills include a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, good knowledge of the nuclear industry, quality management procedures, setting up quality management systems, and excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
