The role of the HR Manager is to lead the HR teams to deliver the people and culture agenda and initiatives ensuring a safe, ethical and inclusive workplace to meet the needs of the business. You will lead in line with the broader Solina governance principles to support profitable growth by delivering a comprehensive and business focused service delivered through effective people strategies, policies and procedures to make Solina Coatings division and Zafron Foods a great place to work. The HR Manager champions the culture of the business and is focused on providing great service to all employees and Managers. The HR Manager will be an active member of the Coatings Leadership Team, Zafron Foods Leadership team, UK wide HR team and Solina HR Community. Primary responsibilities Lead the Coatings and Zafron HR teams to deliver and meet objectives on the full employee lifecycle to include talent acquisition, pre-employment processes, onboarding, retention, learning and development, employee engagement, culture engagement, compensation and benefits and talent management. Provide support and guidance to the Coatings and Zafron Foods Leadership Teams providing strategic counsel on all people matters. Contribute to goals on business and people development including talent management and succession planning. Develop and lead on wellbeing initiatives and policies. Lead the analysis of employee feedback and employee data, supporting managers to identify and implement appropriate actions to create a working environment and culture aligned with The Solina Way, DE&I and sustainability roadmap. Lead on human rights responsibilities to ensure Solina Coatings, Zafron Foods and all third- party service providers and suppliers meet the Solina Code of Ethics and the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code labour standards. Responsible for achieving expected standards in customer ethical audits. Advise on employment law, changes to law and wider external factors impacting employment. Responsible for delivery of an efficient and accurate monthly payroll providing accurate data to allow payroll calculation. Responsible for preparation of monthly staff data reports, HR related data collection for company reporting, responsible for Coatings UK and Zafron Foods headcount budgeting and financial budgeting for the HR department. Responsible for implementation of the DE&I agenda to support diversity, equity and inclusion, culture and engagement and coaching. Lead the annual talent management process for the Coatings UK and Zafron Foods, supporting creation of learning and development plans and succession plans. As a member of the wider UK HR Community and Solina HR Community, participate and enable team members participation in HR projects and experience sharing to establish best practices. Responsibilities as a member of the Coatings and Zafron Foods Leadership Teams: Provide strategic advice and guidance to the members of the leadership team Be the voice of the employee and initiate the development of longer-term programmes that ensure Solina provides the culture and employee experience to be recognised as a great place to work. Escalate challenges and issues promptly to the appropriate level to enable effective resolution. Skills & Knowledge 5 years experience leading an HR team in a multi-site HR Manager role at CIPD Chartered Member level Ability to work with others in accordance with the behaviours set out in our Solina Way. Energy, drive, and ability to take the people agenda to the next level while building on an entrepreneurial, autonomous, and empowering working culture. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, experience of change management and shaping culture to drive performance. Experience of performance reporting and headcount budgeting processes. Commercial awareness and results driven focus. Relationship building approach with stakeholders across the entire Solina business, with third parties and customers.
