Deputy Head of Estates – Victoria Academies Trust
Location: Victoria Park Academy, 99 Ballot Street, Smethwick, B66 3HH (Blended, with base at Victoria Park Academy, plus frequent travel to other schools)
Hours: 37 hours per week (52.143 weeks per year)
Salary: NJC20-NJC24 (£32,597 to £35,412) or NJC15-NJC20 (£30,024 to £32,597)
Contract: Permanent (52.143 weeks per year)
Annual Leave: 29 days (34 days after 5 years continuous service)
Closing Date: 17th December 2025
About the role
The Deputy Head of Estates is a newly created role that will support the management and maintenance of each academy’s premises across the Trust. Under the direction of the Head of Estates and with support from each academy’s site team, the Deputy Head will oversee contracts and procurement, services, maintenance, repairs, security and fire, porterage, cleaning and hygiene, site development, Health & Safety, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and administer premises for all academies.
* Lead contracts and procurement functions.
* Ensure maintenance, repairs, security, fire and hygiene standards.
* Oversee site development and compliance with Health & Safety.

A meticulous and tenacious individual with a background in maintenance, health and safety, or facilities management and a strong organisational skill set. A proactive approach to expanding knowledge and experience in property and estate services is desirable.
