Overview:
The Labourer will provide proactive support by carrying out various duties to ensure the business meets its objectives. The role will include working in a team or on your own within a multiple of departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out any duties as and when requested by the Progress & Goods In Manager
* Adapt to a variety of tasks which could include operating machinery, cleaning our premises, and other general duties
* General daily upkeep of the workshop and other areas
* Moving equipment / products around our premises
* Assist other Sewtec personnel with key tasks as and when requested
* Ensure our premises and yard is maintained in and safe and tidy environment
* Assist in unloading deliveries as and when required
* Operate manual and lifting equipment when requested
* Operate counterbalance (FLT) when required
* Ensure the shop floor work environment is clean and is conducive to product and service quality using motorised cleaning equipment
* Segregate waste into correct containers
* Liaise and work in partnership with all other functions
* Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required
Qualifications
* Experience in an engineering environment preferred
* FLT License
Key Skills & Abilities:
* Able to operate machinery
* Transfer of products and deliveries by utilising FLT and pallet truck
* Working knowledge and general awareness of health and safety issues
* Ability to provide quality information within deadlines
* Proactive interaction with other functions
* Team-player and ability to work on own initiative
* Attention to detail
