JOB MISSION:
As the Senior HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing on-site HR support to our associates both across the office and manufacturing teams. You will proactively manage a team of 2 to ensure offering advice and support for all HR related topics. The HR Team are responsible for onboarding all new starters, conducting exit interviews for leavers, maintaining compliance with right-to work checks as well as ensuring our HR system (Workday) is accurately kept up to date. You must have great awareness of employment laws and maintain policies and procedures. As a member of the Site Leadership Team the role will manage the people agenda, act as a change agent and oversee all aspects of the HR and Training function on the Flimby Site.
Based within our Flimby office we offer a flexible approach to working hours. We offer a 4 day working week, consolidating full-time working hours between Monday to Thursday to accommodate for a healthy work life balance.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Work in partnership with Global HR Value Chain and Flimby Site Leadership to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the business
* Collaborate with Global HR Value Chain in the development and roll out the of the HR Strategic Plan
* Provide strategic input to support decision making at senior level on site
* Act as a change agent and support leaders in driving and managing organisational change
* Lead workforce planning and organisational design, working with the Training function, Operations and Leadership, to identify future capability and skills requirements and develop succession plans which enable us to bridge gaps and build talent
* Oversee recruitment and selection from initial requirement planning through to onboarding.
* Oversee training function
* Support Global Talent Development with the ongoing People Pay Performance process, ensuring learning and development requirements are identified and encourage a culture of learning
* Provide and communicate clear policies and practices on all key employment matters
* Ensure consistent, fair and accurate application of employment legislation
* Provide coaching and advice on employee relations issues to associates and managers
* Lead on internal site communications including chairing the Joint Consultative Committee and participation in Town Halls
* Role model NB values and behaviours, be a champion for DE&I, community connection and wellbeing activities and act as an ambassador for the HR function and Site.
* Develop programmes which enhance employee relations and associate engagement eg recognition and community activities
* Lead and participate in HR and cross-functional projects
* Oversight of HRIS (Workday)
* Report out on HR KPI’s to Leadership Team and Global Value Chain
* Lead and manage HR direct reports
* Coach and mentor HR Team to deliver enhanced performance and best in class HR provision
* Work with the HR Team to manage key issues e.g. absence, headcount, employee relations
* Hands on operational HR support.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* Educated to Degree level or related experience
* CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards this
* Significant HR experience gained from working in manufacturing environment
* Strong track record in partnering with key stakeholders and delivering results
* Proven results in organisational design and development and change management
* Comprehensive working knowledge of UK Employment Law
* Proficiency in HR Software – Workday experience would be an advantage
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office
* Able to immediately gain credibility at a senior level and provide insights which are valued by stakeholders
* Outstanding influencing skills at a senior level with a highly collaborative approach
