We are hiring a Head of People Business Partnering & Operations to establish and lead a new department within the People and Culture function at LMAX Group. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role will play a critical part in shaping our people strategy and enhancing how we support, engage, and retain talent across the business. This role requires a collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and is comfortable influencing at all levels of the organisation.
Role and Responsibilities
· Build upon and lead a high-performing People Business Partnering team and People Operations team.
· Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational development.
· Develop People strategy in line with CPO and business vision.
· Empower, develop and grow direct report and team.
· Collaborate with all departments.
· Oversee performance management processes, ensuring consistency and clarity across the business.
· Work closely with department heads to co-develop people strategies aligned with broader business goals.
· Coach senior leadership on team development, talent retention, and people leadership where appropriate.
· Support the creation and rollout of a clear and scalable job architecture and leveling framework.
· Partner with internal teams to deliver strategic people initiatives (e.g. DEI, hybrid working, people analytics, internal employer brand).
· Foster alignment between people strategies and business objectives, ensuring shared accountability across teams.
· Design and deliver the annual people engagement calendar in collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
· Maintain awareness of current employment legislation and emerging workplace trends.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
· Proven leadership experience in a Senior HR Leadership role or Head of People Role
· Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
· Expertise in a core area of HR (e.g. employee relations, DEI, TUPE, or organisational change).
· Experience leading people-related transformation, employee engagement initiatives, and EVP development.
· Background in a medium to large, regulated company.
· Demonstrated delivery of DEI, wellbeing, and corporate responsibility programmes.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive insights and decisions.
· Skilled in influencing and communication; able to establish trust and credibility across all levels.
· Experience in delivering talent management strategies in high-growth or changing environments.
· Experience in engaging with C-Suite and Senior Management Teams.
Desirable
· CIPD qualification.
· Experience in a private equity-backed or rapidly scaling business.
· Familiarity with post-merger cultural integration or organisational change.
· Experience with M&A.
