Role: Site Manager
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: Up to £65,000
Package: DOE
Responsibilities
* Ensure continuous compliance with company health and safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards.
* Coordinate labour and resources to deliver the build programme and proactively schedule trades for optimum delivery.
* Manage material levels to maintain stock balance and enable efficient workforce utilisation.
* Guarantee each plot meets the highest quality, NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, range specifications and best practice.
* Execute company‑directed quality control procedures, conduct inspections at correct timings, and rectify any defects to avoid cost, time or quality penalties.
* Monitor and control production cost, approve payments to contractors and trades where appropriate.
* Initiate and attend plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to achieve required RI/BRI outcomes.
* Deliver toolbox talks or on‑site briefings for safety and procedural guidance.
* Collaborate with internal departments, external suppliers and partners to secure programme success.
* Engage with sales through regular meetings to ensure smooth and controlled delivery of homes.
* Support the Construction team in resource planning, clear responsibilities, and continuous communication and training.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 6 Construction & Management
* SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work qualifications.
* Significant work experience in a similar role for a housing developer.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
