Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger Signaller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on construction sites. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with crane operators and other site personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
Responsibilities
* Signal crane operators using hand signals, radios, or other communication devices to direct movements of materials and equipment.
* Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with site protocols.
* Conduct pre-lift inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Maintain clear communication with team members to prevent accidents and ensure efficient workflow.
* Monitor the surrounding area for potential hazards during lifting operations.
* Assist in the setup and breakdown of lifting equipment as needed.
* Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety on site.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Slinger Signaller or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong understanding of lifting operations, rigging techniques, and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively signal crane operators.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Physical fitness to perform duties that may require standing for long periods and lifting light loads.
* Certification in slinger signaller operations is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: £19.00-£20.00 per hour
