At GSL Education, we are supporting an SEND school in Launceston PL15, seeking Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is a long-term, term-time only position, with a potential start date.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
About the School:
The school provides a personalized wrap-around education for students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of residential placements. Each child receives high levels of support, including one-to-one assistance and bespoke timetables based on thematic learning experiences designed to engage students, build resilience, and promote academic progress.
Role Details:
The school has multiple settings, and staff are expected to work across KS1-4. The roles are challenging, as children may display challenging behaviors, requiring resilience and commitment. A UK driving license and own car are essential, as you will need to use your vehicle for business purposes.
Responsibilities:
1. Guide students as a Learning Mentor, providing personalized guidance and support.
2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.
3. Create a nurturing environment to promote social interactions and communication skills.
4. Assist with daily tasks and academic activities, implementing interventions to address behavior challenges and foster positive outcomes.
