Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Dudley to fill a full-time Learning Mentor position.
The role involves providing support for students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. Candidates should have a Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification in a related area. Experience working with children to foster positive behaviour and resilience is essential.
In this position, you will work closely with pupils who require additional assistance to engage with learning. Your responsibilities will include delivering individual and group mentoring, applying behaviour management techniques, helping develop social skills, and working alongside teachers and families to create a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges to enhance their participation in school activities
* Conduct one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions aimed at building resilience, confidence, and social interaction
* Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive atmosphere
* Create and follow behaviour support plans in partnership with school staff and external agencies
* Help pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND, to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life
* Keep records of interventions and progress
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment
Candidate Profile:
* Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field
* Proven experience supporting children with social, emotional, or behavioural needs in a primary school setting
* Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
