Senior Media Developer role at Raytheon UK. Hybrid, predominantly work-from-home with ad-hoc travel.
About the role
Raytheon UK’s Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) is looking for Senior Media Leads to support media development for training materials. The ideal candidate has a background in interactive media design for digital learning, works well in a standardised development environment, thinks creatively, is confident, collaborates effectively, and is detail oriented.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in creating and developing media content with high proficiency in the required field.
* Organised; able to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
* Ability to interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media and animations.
* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
* Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
* Effective communication with stakeholders outside the media team to gather technical information for media requirements.
* Must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
Required education or experience
* Qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or related field at minimum QCF Level 4 or equivalent.
* 2 years’ experience creating and developing media content with intermediate proficiency in 3D modelling / Unity development and/or Adobe Creative Cloud / Articulate 360.
Desirable
* Experience in developing interactive training (eLearning, multimedia).
* Understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / WebGL.
* Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Recent experience in training design and development.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures.
* Knowledge of web design standards, responsive design and UI/UX design.
Responsibilities
* Produce interactive media for training courses in accordance with Courseware/Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide.
* Develop interactive media in Unity using 3D assets supplied by 3D developers; build interactive functionality for training delivery resources.
* Create media in line with best practices in Graphic Design and Multi-Media.
* Create media/animation sequences/eLearning/virtual environments with effective asset management and timeline planning.
* Comply with Raytheon and Customer policies.
* Perform other reasonable tasks to support CMDC and related areas as required.
* Ensure Health and Safety for self, colleagues and customers.
* Travel to other UK sites may be required due to training needs.
* Champion and foster a culture of Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and continuous improvement.
