Part-Time HR Manager
Salary – negotiable
3 days per week (on-site)
Cambridge (parking on site)
We are recruiting a Part-Time HR Manager for a R&D / Manufacturing start up / scale up business based in Cambridge.
This is a great opportunity to join an early-stage business to develop their HR function. This will ensure they create systems and processes to help them grow a sustainable business for the future.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be instrumental in developing the HR function partnering with the business to develop an engaging culture.
About the role:
As a standalone role, you will oversee 40 employees, be responsible for the generalist HR function and have the exciting opportunity to contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and evolve the HR function [and eventually team]
* Assist management team with recruitment programme as company expands
* Engender team spirit within the organisation
* Develop and maintain an employee handbook
* Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
* Devise HR policies and processes
* Maintain HR records using the HRIS
* Create career pathways, job evaluation and grading
* Devise and deliver learning events to support business performance
* Provide strategic and tactical HR support aligned with the business initiatives
About you:
* You will be an experienced HR professional who has established HR skills in developing HR processes and systems ideally from a technical environment in a start up / scale up.
* You will be passionate about employee engagement and how to engender a team spirit within the business.
* CIPD qualified at level 5 or above
* Be able to operate in a stand alone capacity
* Strong attention to detail and excellent employment law knowledge.
* Available to start at short notice
