About the Role
The Inclusion Learning Mentor will be primarily based in our Inclusion Room, providing administrative support and working with students who are temporarily out of lessons. The position is high‑impact, focused on improving student outcomes, engagement and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the daily operation of the Inclusion Room, ensuring it is calm, structured and purposeful.
* Supervise students removed from lessons, ensuring they remain engaged in learning.
* Facilitate reflection on behaviour and support students to identify strategies for improvement.
* Prepare students for successful reintegration into lessons.
* Work closely with the Inclusion Manager, SENCO, Pastoral team and teaching staff to contribute to support plans, student review meetings and ensure students receive targets for intervention programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with young people (essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
* Ability to build positive relationships and manage behaviour effectively (essential).
* Commitment to inclusion and supporting vulnerable students (essential).
* Experience in a school, SEND or SEMH setting (desirable).
* Knowledge of behaviour strategies and intervention approaches (desirable).
* Relevant qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant Level 2/3 (desirable).
Benefits
* Salary: £22,290 – £26,253.
* Locations: Spalding, Bourne, Boston and Donington.
* Hours: 32.5 hours a week / 39 weeks.
