Quality Manager - West Bromwich - Chemicals sector Our client are a family-owned company located in West Bromwich, manufacturing intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others, and our team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture, and process optimisation. A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Manager at their West Bromwich site. This is a dual role covering a small team in QC and QA management for the company. The role reports to the Managing Director. Key Duties * Provide leadership, guidance and support to the QC and QA functions. * Maintain and improve the ISO9001 and other standards and systems. * Be the prime contact and guide for all site quality audits * Provide technical guidance to our customers on our products and manage any specification queries Quality Manager Skills & Requirements * Chemistry degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of analytical chemistry GC/GCMS/HPLC in an industrial environment * Good understanding of laboratory management systems i.e. COSHH, SDS databases, document control etc. * Previous experience of GMP would be useful * Previous management or supervisory experience required * Good leadership and interpersonal skills * Thorough understanding of ISO requirements * Ability to work as part of a small management team * Excellent communicator * Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines In return they offer 25 days holiday (plus all UK bank holidays).
