We're looking for caring and compassionate Strategy and Safeguarding Manager to join us to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.

Each region has its own dedicated SARC (sexual assault referral centre) which offers support and practical help to anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault. Our services are co-funded by the Police and the NHS.
The nursing team are responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for forensic and acute health needs and requirements.
As a Strategy and Safeguarding Manager, you'll receive full training and support, with further opportunities to undertake additional higher education after one year in-post.
This is a full-time vacancy of 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.
Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel will be a requirement of the role.
Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police NVVP 2 Level vetting checks.
Job Opportunity
The Strategy and Safeguarding Manager will have a pivotal role in working with the local safeguarding children’s boards to develop a Paediatric pathway such that the multi-agency safeguarding hubs work with Mountain Healthcare to ensure children and young people receive the correct service at the correct time.
The Main element of this role will include:
* The strategy and safeguarding lead will be a part of all strategy meetings with both the police and social care and be able to advise the best route for the child or young person.
* The strategy and safeguarding manager will then be responsible for ensuring that information from the strategy meeting is shared with the forensic medical examiner seeing the child so that a holistic assessment can be undertaken.
* We will also ensure that work is undertaken with the local safeguarding boards to improve care and response to survivors of child sexual exploitation, gang violence and child trafficking.
Management duties and responsibilities:
* To provide a service which supports clients through the complexities of the criminal justice process and facilitates access to other healthcare services.
* To ensure assessment of aftercare needs including sexual health, psychological support and suitability for counselling by other agencies.
* To support the professional development of the multidisciplinary team.
* To develop and deliver training programmes to meet the professional and educational needs of all staff groups across all partner agencies and voluntary and statutory agencies.
* To provide confidential and non-judgemental support, enabling the client to regain control and self esteem;
* To manage service delivery in relation to the forensic medical examination, sexual health, counselling and support services to service users.
* To undertake risk assessment in relation to the post and working environment to include specific risks to service users and visitors.

Essential Skills
* Has Full UK Driving License and has access to a car 24/7
* Experience of working with children
* Detailed knowledge of safeguarding legislation
* Experience of attending STRAT meeting
* Level 3 or above Safeguarding children and young people.
* Qualification to deliver safeguarding supervision.
* Experience of management.
* Qualification as a social worker
