Day Rate: £250–£300 per day (DOE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Self-Employed Site Manager to take the lead on a well-defined education project in Hertfordshire, running from around May 26 through to October 26.
This is a hands-on role managing the construction of a new classroom block within a live school environment, with a project value of approximately £1–£1.5 million. You'll be trusted to run the site day-to-day, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and programme delivery.
The Role
* Full responsibility for site management from start to finish
* Managing subcontractors, programme, and site logistics
* Ensuring strict compliance with H&S requirements (SMSTS essential)
* Liaising professionally with stakeholders in a live school setting
* Driving quality and productivity on site
Requirements
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar-scale projects
* SMSTS and relevant site certifications
* Experience working in live school environments is highly desirable
* Knowledge of light gauge steel construction would be a strong advantage
* Self-motivated, reliable and able to work autonomously
* Strong consideration given to candidates with an excellent work ethic and proactive approach
