Role Objectives Develop software that meets user needs Follow and improve engineering best practices Write clean, secure, and well-tested code Coach and mentor junior colleagues Collaborate within Agile teams to continuously improve products and outcomes Ways of Working Experience working within Agile teams Experience contributing to product development informed by user research, observation, and experimentation Experience working in multidisciplinary DevOps teams (including Product Owners/Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, Developers, Platform Engineers) Experience working within continuous integration environments Essential Skills & ExperienceCoding & Testing Strong React experience HTML / CSS / JavaScript TypeScript Unit and End-to-End testing experience (e.g. Jest, NightwatchJS or similar) Experience building to AA accessibility standards Experience working with RESTful APIs Cross-browser development experience (e.g. Chrome, Edge) Strong understanding of performance optimisation Desirable Skills Experience working with UK Government or public sector organisations AWS experience Experience building component libraries Understanding of security principles Experience designing for scalability and reusability Appreciation for UX best practice Security Clearance Requirement Due to the nature of government client work, candidates must: Be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years
