Maiden Erlegh Trust is seeking a reliable, proactive and highly committed Site Manager to work across two primary school sites: Great Hollands Primary School and Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell. This is a rewarding opportunity to support two warm and welcoming school communities within our growing Trust. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, safety, security and maintenance of both school sites, ensuring full compliance with health & safety legislation and Trust requirements. The role includes line management of Site Assistant(s) and close liaison with school leaders, contractors and Trust colleagues as a valued member of #TeamMET.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Line Management
* Line manage, support and develop Site Assistant(s), ensuring clear expectations and high standards of work
* Allocate duties, manage workloads and ensure effective site cover across both schools
* Carry out performance management conversations in line with Trust procedures
* Promote a positive, professional and proactive site team culture
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Take responsibility for Health & Safety compliance across both sites
* Ensure all statutory checks and inspections are completed, recorded and actioned (fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, emergency lighting, alarms, PAT, etc.)
* Maintain accurate records, risk assessments and compliance documentation in line with Trust policies
* Act as a key point of contact for audits, inspections and external advisors
Site & Building Management
* Oversee and carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs
* Monitor site condition, identifying issues and prioritising remedial works
* Ensure buildings and grounds are clean, tidy, safe and welcoming at all times
* Manage cleaning provision and standards across both schools
Security
* Act as key holder for both sites, managing opening and locking procedures
* Oversee access control systems, alarms and CCTV
* Lead on emergency procedures, drills and incident responses
Operational & Event Support
* Support room layouts, furniture moves and preparation for school events
* Assist with school lettings and community use of facilities where required
* Ensure tools, equipment, PPE and materials are used and stored safely
Professional Conduct & Safeguarding
* Build strong, professional relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors and contractors
* Work flexibly across both school sites to meet operational and organisational needs
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
Requirements
* Successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
