We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and highly motivated Site Manager to become a key part of our team and take pride in maintaining our school buildings and grounds to the highest standard.
As our Site Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school is safe, secure, clean, and well maintained. You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the school premises and provide a crucial support function to pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening and locking the school site
* Ensuring the security, safety, and overall condition of the school site and buildings
* Carrying out and/or overseeing routine repairs, maintenance, and minor improvement works
* Managing contractors on site
* Maintaining accurate records including checks and inspections and statutory documentation
* Ensuring classrooms, shared areas, and external grounds remain clean, tidy, and safe
* Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies
* Responding quickly and effectively to maintenance or safety issues as they arise
* Supporting the school’s sustainability initiatives
Requirements
* Practical, hands‑on, and confident in carrying out general maintenance; well organised with good attention to detail
* Able to work proactively and independently as well as part of a supportive team
* Willing to work split shifts
* Knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) health and safety procedures, compliance, and statutory requirements
* Friendly, approachable, flexible and committed to supporting our school community
* Experience in premises management, caretaking, building maintenance, or a related field (desirable but not essential)

Hours: 37 hours per week, full time.
Grade: Grade D, SCP 9-17, £27,254 - £31,022 p.a.
