We are hiring for a Catering Manager at Outwood Academy, Hemsworth, WF9 4AB who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term‑time only and no weekends, so it is great for those looking for flexibility.
Compensation & Working Hours
* £17.80 per hour
* 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday
* Term‑time only – 38 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
* Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.
* Enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, consistently exceeding expectations.
* Run day‑to‑day operations of the location and supervise teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
* Serve as the main point of contact for our client within the school, recommending and implementing adjustments and improvements.
* Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets, ensuring these are achieved.
* Support and train teams, leading from the front to ensure training is completed and performance managed.
