Are you ready to join a dedicated team committed to safety and efficiency? My client is seeking a successful candidate, focusing on plant preparation. As a Plant Preparation Labourer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly.
In this role, you’ll primarily work on 24x9 storage container shells, adapting to daily workloads with precision. You will be required to undertake the role of abrasive blasting to meet the requirements of the department. Full training will be given to those who do not have the required skills. Your keen eye for detail and knowledge of maintaining a clean work environment will be invaluable. Pre-paint preparation following the sandblasting process is a key responsibility, involving tasks such as scraping out old sealant, panel wiping, using an abrasive sander, and sealing joints before painting.
Physical fitness is essential, especially during sandblast cleanup, which includes shovelling and deep cleaning after each blasting cycle. As you collaborate with other production departments, your contribution will be key to meeting operational growth demands.
Hours:
* Monday - Thursday - 6:30am/3:45pm
* Friday - 6:30am/12:30pm
* 39.5 hours total
Salary: £12.54 hr (£25,757 per annum) entry level rising with experience.

You’ll be responsible for:
* To interpret production schedules and working examples, to achieve the finish required for our products, in line with safety, quality and delivery standards,
* To maintain a safe working environment, highlighting any concerns and assisting to better our environment,
* To maintain and use Handheld sanding tools and machinery to be recognised best practice.
* Operate and maintain Industrial Sand Blasting Equipment when required.
* The ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major or minor changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, or requirements.

We’re looking for someone with these essentials:
* General labouring duties
* Experience Undertaking paint preparation.
* The ability to carry out Manual labour.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
These qualities would be a great help:
* Experience within a hire repair/ reactive repair background.
* Experience within the site welfare sector.
* Sand Blasting experience
